My beautiful daughter Jodie in her festival shawl wearing it as a scarf. So glad she likes it :)

Well it is now 2014, so a belated happy New year to you all. My New year's resolution was to learn to crochet. I have knitted since I was about 6 but have never mastered crochet. The whole idea of learning to crochet is to use up all the odd balls of wool in my secret stash. You know what I mean, the ball left over from the aran you made, the one left from the jumper you finished year's ago.

So here goes with my new blog. Btw have never blogged before either so do forgive me if I get things a little mixed up. :)

Crocheted Blooming Flower Cushion, Bavarian Cushion and Hexagonal Throw

Above are some pic of a hexagonal granny square throw and two scatter pillows that I made for my daughter. The throw has 99 hexagonals with eight shades of purple. The pillows are a bravarian square made using five of the purples from the throw and the blooming flower, pattern from Attic 24 blog site here http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/blooming-flower-cushion.html also uses five of the throw colours. I really enjoyed making these I think they look just dandy.
